How CardHunt groups marketplace listings without hiding the source

A practical look at how CardHunt turns many marketplace listings into comparable card groups while preserving exact source links.

One card can have many live listings

A single card can appear on several marketplaces, in multiple grades, and at very different prices. CardHunt keeps each marketplace listing intact, then groups listings that resolve to the same canonical card so the result page stays scannable.

The group is a comparison surface, not a replacement marketplace. Seller, price, condition, and source remain attached to each listing.

The exact listing link is part of the data

Every outbound action resolves the selected listing by its CardHunt listing ID, records the click, and redirects to that listing’s canonical marketplace item URL. CardHunt does not substitute a generic marketplace search when an exact item identity is available.

If a marketplace removes or rewrites an item after ingestion, the destination can change outside CardHunt. The listing title and source ID shown in CardHunt are the audit trail for what was selected.

How to compare a group

Use the group as a shortlist, then evaluate the exact listing before buying.
